It is contraindicated for pregnant women to practice yoga in a heated room. For safety reasons and in the best interests of clients it is a policy of Fusion Hot Yoga that pregnant students are not able to practice in our heated yoga room.

Hot yoga is not suitable for children. Fusion Hot Yoga only accepts students over the age of 14 years after an interview/consultation to assess maturity level. They must also be in the company of a parent or adult carer.

What is Hot Yoga?

Hot Yoga is a yoga practice performed in a heated room.  The room is intentionally heated to warm up your entire body which will allow you to work deeper into your muscles, ligaments and joints without injury.  The heated environment promotes perspiration, which helps flush toxins from the body.

Yoga Styles

Power Vinyasa

Power Vinyasa is an energising, flowing form of yoga that heals, detoxifies and exhilarates the body and mind at their deepest level.  Power Vinyasa utilises a dynamic combination of strength, balance and flow to build upper body and core strength.

Power Vinyasa: Beginners

You will be well cared for in the Power Vinyasa Beginners classes.  These classes are ideal for beginners and practiced yogis who desire an informative class focusing on mastering form, breath and building confidence.  These classes are a powerful, learning experience in which you will literally re-discover your body, how it works and what it can do.

The teacher will focus on a strong foundation giving you time and support to intellectually understand the yoga postures and breathing techniques.  You will be taught knowledge of alignment and how to modify postures to suit your needs and ensure a safe and healthy practice.

These classes are dynamic, challenging and energising with an emphasis on strengthening.  In every class expect to learn and do something new!

Power Vinyasa: Beginners - Intermediate

These classes will follow a more flowing and demanding sequence exploring deeper postures, inversions and balances. These dynamic classes are designed to expand on strength, stamina and flexibility.   The teacher will continue to emphasize fundamentals of yoga while presenting poses and sequences in a more challenging way.  Students will be offered new and exciting challenges.

Hot Hatha Yoga: Open Class

This hot yoga class promotes strength, flexibility and mobility of the spine and joints. This class is a complete integrated system of physical exercises (asanas) which promote a state of mental and physical wellbeing. This series moves the spine in various ways and promotes flexibility in the limbs. The asanas have an extraordinary capacity to overhaul, rejuvenate and bring the whole system into a state of balance. The asanas emphasise deep breathing, relaxed movement and mental connection. While this class is a great place for beginners to initiate their yoga practice, it offers the seasoned yogi continued growth.

Classical Hatha Yoga: Open Class

This class explores the traditional asanas or poses of yoga. You will practice energising postures with basic to challenging options offered. Calming breathing techniques and the meditative aspect of the practice may be featured. Depending on the teacher, the class sequencing may be strong and static or more free-style asana sessions. Each class has students with diverse levels of experience. Classes are open to all levels.

Every class has students with diverse levels of experience. You are welcome as you are. Brand new to yoga or with years of practice.  Each experience will be new and there will always be someone you can follow.  Although all our classes will be physically challenging students will find the yoga room to be truly non-judgemental.

Specialty Classes

Ashtanga Class - Open - Heated Room
This class is an opportunity to deepen your practice and learn the vinyasa system specific to Ashtanga Yoga. Beginning with Sun Salutations, moving onto standing poses, seated poses, inversions and backbends before relaxation. The class format involves being led as a group through some or all of the Primary Series and will help students to follow correct breathing and movement patterns as they are led through their practice. New students are welcome, though previous participation in Power A & B classes is recommended.

Community Class
This non-heated class is taught by fully qualified yoga teachers who are new to teaching. The class sequencing may be flowing, static or more free-style classical asana sessions. These classes are open to all and are charged at a cash fee-only basis of $5.00 per class. This class was established to make yoga available to students of all economic levels and to support and encourage new teachers in their yoga journey. All proceeds go to charity.

All care is taken to advise students of changes to the timetable by email, class announcements, website and studio signage. It is the student's responsibility to check the current timetable.

From time to time, class styles, teachers and times are subject to change. During Public Holidays, School Holidays and Christmas break classes are reduced to reflect the decrease in attendance by students. We also offer workshops and advanced training to broaden the yoga experience for our students. Every effort is made to accommodate these extra classes but from time to time classes will be removed to offer our students a workshop. Students will still be given a choice of classes to practice on the day that is affected by other training programs or workshops.

Cash Preferable

As we now have evening classes with a fifteen minute interval between classes, it is much easier and quicker for us to handle cash transactions. Processing eftpos and credit card transactions are more time consuming. Cash would be preferred but keep in mind, for your convenience, eftpos is still available.
